Update: End of maintenance

Our servers are back online! Thank you for your patience!

The update fixed the refresh problems that were previously caused by extra drops.
Refresh problems can still appear for other reasons, but overall refresh problems should now occur much less frequently.
Web players (e.g. on the A&F website or Facebook) can start the game as usual and automatically play the new version of the game. Mobile players have to download the update from the respective app store.
Again, due to the time it takes to submit an update, the update for iOS will be made available for download later.

Our developers are now heavily focused on the preparation of the remaster update so that Gardenia and the other new features can be introduced into the game in a little while.
However, bugs will continue to be fixed according to priority, such as the extreme start zoom, the broken logout button and problems that prevent chatting.
We will also take care of the adjustments to the graphics and Centurion Punch requested by the community as soon as possible.

End of maintenance – New update

Dear Gauls!

As explained in the last announcement, the cause of the massive refresh problems is not our changes made by the hotfix, but a longer-standing problem, which has been greatly exacerbated by the changes.
In order to reduce the refresh issues by undoing some of the hotfix changes, we had to execute unannounced maintenance and release a new version.
Web players (e.g. on the A&F website or Facebook) can launch the game as usual and automatically play the new version of the game.
Again, due to the time it takes to send an update, the update for iOS and Android will be made available for download later.
While refresh issues will continue to occur, the changes made in the hotfix have also allowed us to find out when and what causes desync between the game and the servers.
This brings our developers very close to a permanent solution for the majority of all refresh problems, which we will deploy as soon as possible. In order to avoid problems caused by the extra drops until then, we recommend not processing the extra drops received directly in the next production.
We thank you for your patience and apologize for the inconvenience caused. All players will receive compensation via an in-game message.

Massive Refresh issues – Info about the current situation

Dear Gauls!

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the massive refresh issues since Friday’s hotfix!

The problem is caused by “extra drops” – these are the items that can be obtained additionally when picking up crafted items.
According to our latest findings, the cause of the problem has existed for a long time, but due to the changes on Friday, the refreshes caused by the issue now happen immediately when picking up crafted items and the corresponding “extra drops”.
Since we want to fix the error as soon as possible due to its severity, short-term maintenance for a second hotfix will probably be carried out today. We ask for your understanding!
Of course, all players will also receive compensation as soon as we have fixed the issue.

Hotfix – New update

Dear Gauls!

We released a new update today to fix two severe chat issues.

First, you won’t see multiple chat rooms (instead of one general chat, one trade chat and one guild chat) anymore.
Second, Players won’t miss out on messages from the chat rooms they haven’t actively viewed anymore.

Web players (e.g. on the A&F website or Facebook) can start the game as usual and play the new version of the game automatically.
Due to the time, the submission of an update takes, the update for iOS and Android will become available for download later today or tomorrow at the latest.

We are very sorry for any remaining issues and plan to resolve the rest next week. Thank your patience!

Chat issues

Dear Gauls!

We apologize for the new issues that players have to face after the latest update!
Most of them are related to the new chat system, while others only appear in the web version (e.g. too big zoom when switching the map, faulty logout button).
Our developers are currently working on a hotfix to resolve the most urgent chat issue as fast as possible. We also plan to release an update next week to resolve the other new issues.
Please note that the number of active users is wrong and that the chat works even though no welcome message is displayed.

Also, our developers currently investigate the cases of players who have no access to the chat at all (“Establishing connection to chat server..”).

In this case, please include a detailed description of the error, a screenshot if possible, and the name of your village.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused, especially by new chat issues, and hope for your patience until we release the promised bug fixes.
