We want to inform you about a scheduled maintenance for Asterix & Friends beginning on April 30th at 09:00 CEST (07:00 UTC), which will take approximately 6 hours. Please note that you will not be able to login to the game during this time.
The reason for this downtime is the migration of the web version of the game to gameXcite GmbH and the associated new account system. While the Mobile and Facebook versions are not affected, all live servers need to be deactivated during the maintenance.
We will inform you on Facebook, Discord and our website as soon as our servers are back online and you are able to play again.

After the maintenance you will need to reset your password and for this you will require access to your e-mail. If you currently don’t have access to the email address you registered with anymore, please make sure to change it before the maintenance. After resetting your password and agreeing to gameXcite’s terms and conditions and privacy policy, you will be able to continue playing, while retaining all premium items, saved games, etc.:

spring is finally here! The air is buzzing with bumblebees and the birds are singing. In real life, people report sightings of a rabbit with pants that drops colorful eggs in their gardens (can you believe it?). Meanwhile, in our evergreen Gaul villages, brave warriors are still resisting Caesar and his Legions.

today is a sad day for all of us on which we mourn the death of Albert Uderzo.
Our thoughts are with his loved ones and all Asterix fans around the world!

from March 1st on we, the gameXcite GmbH, have taken over operation of Asterix & Friends and we have big plans for the future that include new features and content. However, to lay the groundwork and due to the ending support of the Adobe Flash technology, our focus for the upcoming months is on re-developing the game client with the Unity Engine.

To ensure the smooth operation of the game, the game data have to be transferred to gameXcite GmbH. Insofar as personal data according to art 4 nr 1 General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) is being transmitted, it is being done so based on art 6 para 1 lit f) GDPR with the sole purpose of ensuring legitimate interest to keep the game running by us.

The game can be accessed as usual with your regular login data (e.g. via Browser) after agreeing to the gameXcite GmbH terms of service while retaining all premium items, saved games, etc.:

According to art 21 para 1 GDPR, you can object to the transfer of your personal data. If you do not wish your data to be transferred, you can object by contacting support@asterix-friends.com until March 30th, 2020. In this case logging into your game account will be no longer possible.

In order to keep playing Asterix & Friends you will need to reset your password at the first login after April 1st 2020. For this you will need access to your email address that has been used to register your account. Should you no longer have access to this email, please change it accordingly until March 30th.
