Both yesterday and today we released new versions for Android players that were already able to update to the Unity version.
The updates contain the first improvements of the user interface, in particular regarding windows sizes.
In addition, the bug that caused the game to be in English for some FB Connect users after the update has been fixed. The language correction is set after updating the game on the mobile device and then starting the game. As a result, the language is corrected accordingly on Facebook too.
We are still working intensively to resolve the remaining problems. If you are affected by crashes while starting/playing the game or can’t play the game at all, please contact our support team: support@asterix-friends.com

So that we can publish the new features soon, after the web and Facebook versions we will now also convert the mobile versions of “Asterix & Friends” to the new code using the “Unity engine”.
We’re starting with Android, iOS will follow shortly.
Android users will soon be able to update the game to the new version in the Play Store. It may take a while for the update to become available for everyone.
With the new version, the new SAVE system will also work. With this system, you can play your village on multiple mobile devices without using Facebook Connect. Another advantage is that you can start immediately in your old village even if you reinstall the app.

Dear Gauls!

Due to a change made by Facebook, the pop-up “This content is no longer available” appears for some players immediately when starting Asterix & Friends on Facebook.
The pop-up can be clicked away, but it reappears after a short time. Other games on Facebook seem to be affected by the same problem.
To avoid the problem, we recommend after closing the pop-up and the loading screen to switch to full-screen mode via the options (gear icon) by clicking on the corresponding icon (or pressing “F8” on the keyboard).
Since the pop-up is hidden in full-screen mode, affected players will be able to play as usual as long as they stay in full-screen mode.
We will inform all players immediately as soon as the problem has been resolved.

Our servers are back online!
Deleting the cache and cookies won’t be needed, but please be patient at the first start.

Another downtime for an Android and iOS update that will make chatting between all platforms possible is in preparation and will be announced in time.
Since we decided on a separate update for all platforms which will include all new game content (and a big, not yet presented feature), the female villager won’t be released this month. We will inform you about an estimated release date and make sure to share more information on the new features next month.
